Stationary drilling rigs

The drilling rigs of Volgograd Drilling Equipment Plant are intended for rotary and downhole motor drilling of exploratory and development wells for oil and gas. The nominal depth of drilling – from 2000 m  to 4500 m.  The drilling is carried out at ambient air temperature  from –450C  to +400C in electrified regions with power supply from high lines as well as in non-electrified regions with power supply from self-contained diesel-electrical stations.

For accelerated completion of wells there produced the modifications of drilling rigs with possibility of derrick-drawworks unit dislocation along rail guides. Also there have been designed and are produced the units for cluster drilling as well as for so-called small clusters (2-5 wells).
  
The main mechanisms drive (drawworks, rotary table, mud pumps) – electrical, adjustable,  d.c. or a.c. drive.

The main and auxiliary equipment is mounted in modules and delivered to the customer in full readiness for operation. The housed and  heated modules improve greatly the drilling  crew labour conditions as well as the  repair of equipment and its service. The freedom from intermodule kinematic connections provides good mounting abilities and transportability of drilling rigs.

The structural features of substructures, the layout of drilling equipment and mechanisms on them allow to realize different methods of setting-up and transportation of the drilling rig:
-    by large unit – on heavy-duty trailers with erected or dismantled derrick;
-    by small unit – units and sections with the mass up to 20 tons (44100 lbs) on special trailers;
-    by separate items – on conventional means of transportation.
